Ken Burnett plays mandolin and other stringed instruments but is known in Northern California as "the mandolin guru," according to Sacramento News and Review music reporter Christian Kiefer. He has played in numerous acts, including Fitzjarrald and Burnett, The Holly Holt Band, The William Mylar Band, Richard March Band, Amee Chapman and the Big Finish, 2ME, Sal Valentino, Chuck Bothelo Trio, Brendan Lake, and Abandon Theory. And he started his own band dedicated to his original bluegrass/Americana tunes and called it Mandolin Avenue in 2003. Over the years the line-up has changed often and the only constant has been the quality of the players and singers. It has always been some of the best musicians anywhere making the line up when they do their rollicking music on stage.

Ken has written many songs and has performed them as a solo act, a duo, or full band and continues to play in bands, Side-Wheeler String Band, The Vintage Find, Brother Aaron and the Love Handles, and The Kai Clark Band.

We just call it Mandolin Avenue!
