mandolin avenue

There has been a vibrant music scene in Sacramento for years, and the bluegrass/folk scene is diverse and delectable. And for the last fifteen years off and on, mandolin avenue has been playing rocking bluegrass with some of Northern California’s best pickers.

Ken Burnett started the band back when George Junior was in the White House. He wrote most of the songs they have performed, besides the traditional and a few covers they perform. The key to the whole deal has been the players and singers over the years, (listed below).

Today in Coronaville, mandolin avenue is just Ken Burnett, in the studio recording some of his many tunes, some fan favs, many never played or heard before. It’s coming together in spite of my lack of adeptness with recording gear, mixing, and production. But it will get done.
